Weekend: Sofia – Belogradchik

PROGRAM

DAY 1: Arrival at Sofia airport. Transfer. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight stay in Sofia.

DAY 2: Breakfast. Departure for Belogradchik – small town in west Bulgaria where the Rocks of Belogradchik are located, known for their nomination in the project named the New Seven Wonders of the World. They are also included in the indicative list of UNESCO in 1984. Visit to the Belogradchik fortress. Lunch. Departure to Magura cave - one of the largest caves in Bulgaria, with unique prehistoric wall paintings. Next to the cave is the Rabisha Lake - the biggest inland lake in Bulgaria. Return to Belogradchik. Dinner and overnight stay in Belogradchik.

DAY 3: Breakfast. Return to Sofia. Accommodation at the hotel. In the afternoon - sightseeing tour of Sofia – St. Nedelya Cathedral, St. George Rotunda, Russian Church of St. Nicolas, St. Sophia Church, St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Ivan Vazov National Theater. Overnight stay in Sofia.

DAY 4: Breakfast. Transfer to Sofia airport. Departure.

• 2 nights on BB basis in Sofia, 1 night on FB basis in Belogradchik;

• transfer Sofia – Belogradchik - Magura cave - Belogradchik – Sofia;
