Cherepish Monastery

The Cherepish monastery, named "The Assumption of Virgin Mary", founded in the late 14th century, is nestled at the foot of the vertical wall above the Iskar River. There you can see frescoes and icons from 17th, 18th and 19th century. The monastery impresses visitors not with its size, but with the incredible beauty and magic described in the works of several writers and travelers.
